Pacific Fishery Management Council; Public Meeting

AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: The Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Council) Ad-Hoc 
Groundfish Strategic Plan Development Committee (Committee) will hold a 
work session which is open to the public.

DATES: The meeting will begin Thursday, August 26, 1999, at 10 a.m., 
and may go into the evening until business for the day is completed. 
The meeting will reconvene at 8 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 1999, and 
continue throughout the day until business for the day is completed.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The purpose of the meeting is to confer with 
the consultant to refine the process for development of a strategic 
plan for the West Coast groundfish fishery.
    Although other issues not contained in this agenda may come before 
this Committee for discussion, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens 
Fishery Conservation and Management Act, those issues may not be the 
subject of formal action during this meeting. Action will be restricted 
to those issues specifically listed in this notice.
