Northeast Corridor Safety Committee; Public Meeting

    Pursuant to Section 11 of the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 1988 
(Pub. L. 100-342), notice is hereby given that a public meeting of the 
Northeast Corridor Safety Committee will be held on September 20, 1994, 
at 10 a.m. in room 6200 of the Nassif Building, 400 Seventh Street, 
S.W., Washington, D.C. 20590.
    The meeting is called for the purpose of providing counsel and 
advice to the Department of Transportation on safety improvements on 
the main line of the Northeast Corridor (NEC). The major topics on the 
agenda include automatic train control, grade crossings, train set 
procurement, emergency response and vandalism. Others may be added and 
are specifically requested.
