National Institute on Drug Abuse; Notice of Meeting
Pursuant to Pub. L. 92-463, notice is hereby given of the meeting
of the National Advisory Council on Drug Abuse, National Institute on
Drug Abuse (NIDA) on September 16-17, 1997, at the National Institutes
of Health, Building 31, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20892.
On September 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the meeting will be held in
Conference Rooms 9 and 10. In accordance with provisions set forth in
secs. 552b(c)(4), and 552b(c)(6), Title 5, U.S.C. and sec. 10(d) of
Pub. L. 92-463, this portion of the meeting will be closed to the
public for the review, discussion, and evaluation of grant
applications. These applications and the

discussions could reveal confidential trade secrets or commercial
property such as patentable material and personal information
concerning individuals associated with the applications, disclosure of
which would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal
privacy.
On September 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the meeting will be held in
Conference Room 10. This portion of the meeting will be open to the
public for announcements and reports of administrative, legislative,
and program developments in the drug abuse field. Attendance by the
public will be limited to space available.
