K N Interstate Gas Transmission Company; Notice of Refund Report 
Filing

August 8, 1996.
    Take notice that on August 6, 1996, K N Interstate Gas Transmission 
Co. (KNI) filed a refund report pursuant to the Commission's October 
13, 1995 order issued in Docket No. RP96-271-000.
    KNI states that the refund report shows the refund received by KNI 
from Gas Research Institute over-collections in the amount of $206,062 
and the pro rata allocation of that refund amount to KNI's eligible 
firm customers.
    KNI states that copies of the filing were served upon all affected 
firm customers of KNI and applicable state agencies.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street NE., Washington, DC 20426, in 
accordance with Section 385.211 and 385.214 of the Commission's Rules 
and Regulations. All such motions or protests should be filed on or 
before August 15, 1996. Protests will be considered by the Commission 
in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve 
to make any protestants parties to the proceeding. Copies of this 
filing are on file with the Commission and are available for public 
inspection in the Public Reference Room.
