Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY:

The Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Pacific Council) Ad Hoc Ecosystem Workgroup (EWG) will hold an online meeting, which is open to the public.

DATES:

The online meeting will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific Time, or until business for the day is completed.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The purpose of this online EWG meeting is to (1) brief interested advisory body members and the public on the contents of its September Pacific Council meeting report on Fishery Ecosystem Plan Initiative 4 (Ecosystem and Climate Information for Species, Fisheries, and Fishery Management Plans), and (2) discuss and draft supplemental reports on Initiative 4 and other items of interest on the Pacific Council's September meeting agenda, as appropriate.

Although non-emergency issues not contained in the meeting agenda may be discussed, those issues may not be the subject of formal action during this meeting. Action will be restricted to those issues specifically listed in this document and any issues arising after publication of this document that require emergency action under section 305(c) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, provided the public has been notified of the intent to take final action to address the emergency.
