Title: Oil Transportation Allowances.
OMB Approval Number: 1010-0061.
Abstract: The Government collects royalties resulting from the sale
of Federal and Indian oil. In some cases an allowance is granted to
compensate lessees for the reasonable costs of transporting the royalty
portion of the oil to a delivery point remote from the lease.
Transportation allowances are taken as a deduction from royalty. The
allowance determination procedure is essential to ensure that the
public and the Indians receive the full royalty payment to which they
are entitled, and that lessees are correctly compensated for allowable
transportation costs. Failure to collect the date described in this
information collection could make

it impossible to ensure that royalty rates computed and paid are
appropriate.
