National Eye Institute; Meeting of the National Advisory Eye
Council
Pursuant to Pub. L. 92-463, notice is hereby given of the meeting
of the National Advisory Eye Council (NAEC) on September 8 and 9, 1994,
in Building 31C, Conference Room 8, National Institutes of Health,
Bethesda, Maryland.
The NAEC meeting will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. until
approximately 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 1994. Following opening
remarks by the Director, NEI, there will be presentations by the staff
of the Institute and discussions concerning Institute programs and
policies. Attendance by the public at the open session will be limited
to space available.
In accordance with provisions set forth in Secs. 552b(c)(4) and
552b(c)(6), Title 5, U.S.C. and Sec. 10(d) of Public Law 92-463, the
meeting of the NAEC will be closed to the public from approximately 4
p.m. on Thursday, September 8 until adjournment for the review,
discussion, and evaluation of individual grant applications. These
applications and the discussions could reveal confidential trade
secrets or commercial property such as patentable material, and
personal information concerning individuals associated with the
applications, the disclosure of which would constitute a clearly
unwarranted invasion of personal privacy. The meeting will be closed on
Friday, September 9 from 8:30 a.m. until adjournment at approximately
noon.
Ms. Louis DeNinno, Committee Management Officer, National Eye

Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7164, (301) 496-5301, will provide a summary
of the meeting, roster of committee members, and substantive program
information upon request. Individuals who plan to attend and need
special assistance, such as sign language interpretation or other
reasonable accommodations, should contact Ms. DeNinno in advance of the
meeting.
