    AGENCY: Office of Environmental Management, U.S. Department of Energy 
    (DOE).
    
    ACTION: Notice of reopening of Request for Information (RFI).

    SUMMARY: The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has decided to extend for 
    an additional thirty days, the period for receipt of information from 
    private companies regarding their capabilities to demonstrate 
    innovative technologies that may accelerate or enhance site activities 
    in regard to characterization, treatment, remediation, and storage/
    disposal of hazardous waste or mixed waste, or (waste that is both 
    radioactive and hazardous) at DOE facilities in the Western United 
    States. The original Request for Information appeared at Federal 
    Register / Vol. 59, No. 105 / Thursday, June 2, 1994 / Notice 28519. 
    This notice is to reopen the Request for Information from August 31, 
    1994 to September 30, 1994, allowing more time for the interested 
    parties to submit a short paper not to exceed five (5) pages.
    
    DATES: Information should be submitted by September 30, 1994.
