Petal Gas Storage Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC Gas 
Tariff

August 11, 1998.
    Take notice that on August 6, 1998, Petal Gas Storage Company 
(Petal) tendered for filing, as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, First 
Revised Volume No. 1, Substitute Second Revised Sheet No. 129 with a 
proposed effective date of August 1, 1998. Petal states that the filing 
is made in compliance with the Commission's July 29, 1998 Letter Order 
in this proceeding.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of 
Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such 
motions or protests should be filed as provided in Section 154.210 of 
the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the 
Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will 
not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person 
wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of 
this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for 
public inspection.
