El Paso Natural Gas Company; Notice of Filing

August 11, 1999.
    On August 4, 1999, El Paso Natural Gas Company filed an Offer of 
Settlement and Request for Approval of Joint Settlement Agreement 
(Settlement). Under the Commission's settlement rules, initial comments 
are due twenty days after the Settlement is filed, and reply comments 
are due ten days thereafter.
    Initial comments on El Paso's August 4, 1999 Settlement are due to 
be filed on or before August 24, 1999. Reply comments shall be filed on 
or before September 3, 1999.
