Proposed Projects
1. Evaluation of The National Center for HIV, STD, and TB
Prevention, Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Internet site--New--The
proposed research is to assure that intended audiences find the
information on the Internet site developed by the National Center for
HIV, STD and TB Prevention (NCHSTP), Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention
(DHAP) easy to access, clear, informative and useful. Specifically, the
research will examine whether the information is presented in an
appropriate technological format and whether it meets the needs of
``visitors'' to the Internet site. Information on the site focuses on
HIV prevention, care, and epidemiology. The site is designed to serve
the general public, persons at risk for HIV infection, persons with
HIV/AIDS, and health professionals.
The information generated from this research will enable DHAP to
provide information on this Internet site that meets the needs, wants
and preferences of the target audiences identified above. Additionally,
the center is committed to developing a standardized process for
including such audience testing in subsequent materials development
projects. The proposed process will contribute to the foundation for
establishing a standardized process for such assessment. The cost of
the respondent is $3,360
