August 15, 1996.
Take notice that on August 12, 1996, Texas Eastern Transmission
Corporation (Texas Eastern) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas

Texas Eastern states that the purpose of the filing is to modify
Section 14.9 and add a new Section 14.10 in the General Terms and
Conditions of its FERC Gas Tariff, Sixth Revised Volume No. 1, to
implement new procedures to clarify allocation and use of firm delivery
point and receipt point capacity. Specifically, Texas Eastern seeks to
(1) implement a ``use it or reduce it'' provision with respect to firm
receipt and delivery point capacity subscribed to under Section 14.9 of
the General Terms and Conditions of its FERC Gas Tariff that is
unutilized or under-utilized, and (2) provide for a first-come, first-
served allocation to other customers requesting that capacity.
Texas Eastern states that copies of the filing were served on firm
customers of Texas Eastern and interested state commissions.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal
