    Foreign-Trade Zone 7--Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Application for 
    Subzone Status, Mani Can Corporation Facilities (Steel Cans), Mayaguez, 
    Puerto Rico; Extension of Public Comment Period
    
        The comment period for the above case, requesting special-purpose 
    subzone status for the easy-open steel can processing facilities of 
    Mani Can Corporation (a wholly-owned affiliate of Star-Kist Foods, 
    Inc., in turn wholly owned by the H. J. Heinz Company), located in 
    Mayaguez, Puerto Rico (61 FR 24271, 5/14/96), is further extended to 
    October 22, 1996, to allow interested parties additional time in which 
    to comment on the proposal.
        Comments in writing are invited during this period. Submissions 
    should include 3 copies. Material submitted will be available at: 
    Office of the Executive Secretary, Foreign-Trade Zones Board, U.S. 
    Department of Commerce, room 3716, 14th and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, 
    Washington, DC 20230.
