PJM Interconnection, L.L.C.; Notice of Filing

August 19, 1998.
    Take notice that on July 30, 1998, pursuant to order by the 
Director, Division of Rate Applications in the above captioned docket, 
PJM Interconnection, L.L.C. (PJM), tendered for filing its compliance 
filing to amend its Form of Service agreement for Firm Point-to-Point 
Transmission Service (PJM Open Access Transmission Tariff, Attachment 
A).
    The amendment provides for a confirmation period during which an 
applicant for Short-Term Firm Point-To-Point Transmission Service must 
confirm, following PJM's approval of its request for service, that it 
will commence service in accordance with its request.

    PJM requests an effective date of August 1, 1998 for the 
amendment.

    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC 20426, in 
accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice 
and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such motions or 
protests should be filed on or before August 31, 1998. Protests will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
be taken, but will not serve to make Protestants parties to the 
proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to 
intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection.
