National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin
Diseases; Notice of Meeting; National Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and
Skin Diseases Advisory Council
Pursuant to Public Law 92-463, notice is hereby given of a meeting
of the National Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases
Advisory Council to provide advice to the National Institute of
Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) on September 4,
1997, in Conference Room 6, Building 31, National Institutes of Health,
Bethesda, Maryland.
The meeting will be open to the public September 4 from 8:30 a.m.
to 12:00 p.m. to discuss administrative details relating to Council
business and special reports. Attendance by the public will be limited
to space available.
The meeting of the Advisory Council will be closed to the public on
September 4 from 1:00 p.m. to adjournment in accordance with provisions
set forth in sections 552b(c)(4) and 552b(c)(6), Title 5 U.S.C. and
section 10(d) of Public Law 92-463, for the review, discussion and
evaluation of individual grant applications. These deliberations could
reveal confidential trade secrets or commercial property, such as
patentable material, and personal information concerning individuals
associated with the applications, disclosure of which would constitute
a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal property.
This notice is being published less than 15 days prior to the above
meeting due to the urgent need to meet timing limitations imposed by
the review and funding cycle.
Individuals who plan to attend and need special assistance, such as
sign language interpretation or other reasonable accommodations, should
