    M & J Clothing Sample, El Paso, Texas; Notice of Termination of 
    Investigation
    
        Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, an investigation 
    was initiated on July 27, 1998 in response to a worker petition which 
    was filed on of former workers at M & J Clothing Sample, located in El 
    Paso, Texas (TA-W-34, 791).
        All production and production-related employment at M & J Clothing 
    Sample, located in El Paso, Texas ceased in June of 1997, more than one 
    year prior to the date of the petition (July 7, 1998).
        Section 223 of the Act specifies that no certification may apply to 
    any worker whose last separation occurred more than one year before the 
    date of the petition.
        Consequently, further investigation in this case would serve no 
    purpose, and the investigation has been terminated.
