    University, Miami, FL 33199. Instrument: Stopped-Flow System. 
    Manufacturer: Applied Photophysics, United Kingdom. Intended Use: See

        Docket Number: 96-026. Applicant: Bates College, Lewiston, ME 
    04240. Instrument: Rapid Kinetics Accessory, Model SFA-20. 
    Manufacturer: Applied Photophysics, Ltd., United Kingdom. Intended Use: 
    See notice at 61 FR 28175, June 4, 1996.
    
        Comments: None received. Decision: Approved. No instrument of 
    equivalent scientific value to the foreign instruments, for the 
    purposes for which the instruments are intended to be used, is being 
    manufactured in the United States. Reasons: These are compatible 
    accessories for existing instruments for the use of the applicants. In 
    each case, the instrument and accessory were made by the same 
    manufacturer.
        We know of no domestic accessories which can be readily adapted to 
    the previously imported instruments.
