    DEPARTMENT OF LABOR

    Employment and Training Administration

NAFTA--03015; Quest Petroleum Corporation, Reno, Nevada; Notice
    of Termination of Investigation

Pursuant to section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, an investigation
was initiated on March 22, 1999 in response to a worker petition which
was dated March 1, 1999, and filed on behalf of workers at Quest
    Petroleum Corporation, Reno, Nevada.
The Department of Labor has determined that the petition is
invalid. Under the Trade Act of 1974, as amended, a NAFTA-TAA petition
may be filed by a group of three or more workers in an appropriate
subdivision of a firm, by a company official, by their union, or other
    duly authorized representative, including community-based
organizations. The petition was signed by one petitioner who is not
authorized to file on behalf of all workers of the company.
Consequently, further investigation in this matter would serve no
purpose, and the investigation has been terminated.

Signed in Washington, DC, this 11th day of August, 1999.
    Grant D. Beale,
Program Manager, Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance.
