OkTex Pipeline Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC Gas 
Tariff

July 29, 1997.
    Take notice that on July 25, 1997, OkTex Pipeline Company (OkTex), 
filed the tariff sheets in compliance with the Commission's directives 
in Order's No. 587 and 587-B.
    OkTex states that the tariff sheets reflect the changes to OkTex's 
tariff that result from the Gas Industry Standards Board's (GISB) 
consensus standards that were adopted by the Commission in its July 17, 
1996, Order No. 587 in Docket No. RM96-1-000, Order No. 587-B, and 
Commission Order issued May 1, 1997, in Docket No. RP97-103-001 and 
Docket No. RP97-103-002. OkTex further states that Order No. 587 
contemplates that OkTex will implement the GISB consensus standards for 
June 1997 business, and that the tariff sheets therefore reflect an 
effective date of June 1, 1997.
    OkTex states that copies of the filing have been mailed to all 
affected customers and state regulatory commissions.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20416, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Regulations. All such protests must be filed in accordance 
with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protest will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to this 
proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
