Title: Protection and Advocacy System Annual Statement of
Objectives and Priorities.
OMB No.: New Request.
Description: Section 142(a)(2) of the DD Act requires the State
Protection and Advocacy System (P&As) to develop, by January 1st of
each year, a Statement of Objectives and Priorities (SOP) and provide
an opportunity for the public to comment on it. The final statement
must be submitted (along with the prior year's PPR) to the regional
office of DHHS. The Statement will provide the public and the
Department a better understanding of the operation of the advocacy
services and provide more comprehensive reporting to Congress.
Respondents: State, Local or Tribal; Not-for-profit Institutions;
and Individuals or Households.
