KN Interstate Gas Transmission Co.; Notice of Compliance Filing

July 31, 1998.
    Take notice that on July 14, 1998, K N Interstate Gas Transmission 
Co. (KNI) tendered for filing its true-up plan to address fuel over or 
under recoveries that exist as of July 31, 1998.
    KNI states that the report is being filed in compliance with the 
Commission's order issued July 1, 1998.
    KNI states that copies of the filing have been mailed to each of 
KNI's jurisdictional customers and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE, 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed on 
or before August 7, 1998. Protests will be considered by the Commission 
in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve 
to make protestants parties to the proceedings. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection 
in the Public Reference Room.
