-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY: The Department of Commerce (the Department) is extending the
time limit for the preliminary results of the eleventh administrative
review of the antidumping duty order on porcelain-on-steel cookware
from Mexico for the period December 1, 1996, through November 30, 1997.
This extension is made pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended
by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act (hereinafter, ``the Act'').
POSTPONEMENT: Under the Act, the Department may extend the deadline for
completion of an administrative review if it determines it is not
practicable to complete the review within the statutory time limit of
365 days. The Department finds that it is not practicable to complete
the eleventh administrative review of certain porcelain-on-steel
cookware from Mexico within this time limit due to a number of complex
issues, including reimbursement, and resource constraints.
In accordance with section 751(a)(3)(A) of the Act, the Department
will extend the time for completion for the preliminary results of this
review from a 245-day period to a period no longer than 365 days.
Therefore, the final results are now due by December 31, 1998.
Dated: July 28, 1998.
Maria Harris Tildon,
Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Import Administration.
