at 1352.217-109 Entitled ``Insurance Requirements.''

Needs and Uses: In its contracts for construction, alteration and
repair of ships, the Department of Commerce requires each selected

Clause 1352.217-109, ``Insurance Requirements.'' The clause also
requires the contractor to submit proof of this insurance to the
contracting officer before the work under the contract is authorized to
start.

as the Partners in Quality Contracting (PQC) Program. PQC is a creative
nonmonetary recognition program that showcases the importance of
quality in the government acquisition process.
