BOARD FOR INTERNATIONAL BROADCASTING


Notice of Agency Termination

    Please be advised that, consistent with the U.S. International 
Broadcasting Act of 1994, (Public Law 103-236, sec. 310(e)), the Board 
for International Broadcasting Act of 1973, as amended, is repealed 
effective September 30, 1995, or the date on which all members of the 
new Broadcasting Board of Governors are confirmed, whichever is 
earlier.
    The primary functions of the BIB will be consolidated under the new 
Board, with expanded responsibilities, within USIA. Confirmation of the 
new Board appears imminent, triggering the abolition of the BIB. The
