    Algonquin Gas Transmission Company; Notice of Refund Report
    
    August 1, 1996
        Take notice that on July 29, 1996, Algonquin Gas Transmission 
    Company (Algonquin) tendered for filing a report of pursuant to 
    Ordering Paragraph (C) of the Commission's February 22, 1996 order in 
    Gas Research Institute (GRI), Docket No. RP95-124-000.
        Algonquin states that on June 28, 1996, Algonquin received its 
    share of the GRI refund totalling $760,140.00.
        Algonquin states that on July 12, 1996, each eligible firm 
    customers was credited their pro rata share of the GRI refund and will 
    be reflected on their August 7, 1996 invoice for business on Algonquin 
    during the month of July 1996.
        Algonquin states that copies of the refund report has been served 
    upon each of its affected customers and interested state commissions.
        Any person desiring to be heard or protest said filing should file 
    a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory 
    Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in 
    accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice 
    and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 385.214). All such motions or 
    protests should be filed on or before August 8, 1996. Protests will be 
    considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
    be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the 
    proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to 
    intervene. Copies of Transco's filing are on file with the Commission 
    and are available for public inspection.
