Shell Gas Pipeline Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC 
Gas Tariff

August 1, 1997.
    Take notice that on July 30, 1997, Shell Gas Pipeline Company 
(SGPC) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Original 
Volume No. 1, Substitute Second Revised Sheet No. 137 in compliance 
with the Commission's Order No. 587-C to become effective November 1, 
1997.
    SGPC states the purpose of the filing is to comply with the letter 
order issued on July 18, 1997, in Docket No. RP97-138-004, whereby SGPC 
was directed to file actual tariff Sheet No. 137 within 15 days from 
the date of the letter order.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington D.C. 20426, in accordance with 18 CFR 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
Reference Room.
