Illinois Power Company; Notice of Withdrawal of Application for
Amendment to Facility Operating License
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted
the request of Illinois Power Company (the licensee) to withdraw its
April 27, 1998, application for proposed amendment to Facility
Operating License No. NPF-62 for the Clinton Power Station, located in
DeWitt County, Illinois.
The proposed amendment would have changed the title ``shift
supervisor'' to ``shift manager'' in the Technical Specifications.
The Commission had previously issued a proposed no significant
hazards consideration determination published in the Federal Register
on May 20, 1998 (63 FR 27762). However, by letter dated August 13,
1998, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the
application for amendment dated April 27, 1998, and the licensee's
letter dated August 13, 1998, which withdrew the application for
license amendment. The above documents are available for public
inspection at the Commission's Public Document Room, the Gelman
Building, 2120 L Street, NW., Washington, DC, and at the local public
document room located at the Vespasian Warner Public Library, 310 N.
Quincy Street, Clinton, IL 61727.
