Carnegie Interstate Pipeline Company; Notice of Proposed Changes 
in FERC Gas Tariff

September 5, 1996.
    Take notice that on August 30, 1996, Carnegie Interstate Pipeline 
Company (CIPCO), tendered for filing and acceptance the following 
revised tariff sheet to its FERC Gas Tariff, Original Volume No. 1, the 
following tariff sheet with a proposed effective date of October 1, 
1996:

Ninth Revised Sheet No. 7

    CIPCO states that the above tariff sheet has been revised to 
reflect a modification to the Annual Charge Adjustment fee. CIPCO was 
not assessed any annual charges this year and, therefore, reduced its 
ACA to zero. CIPCO reserved all rights to refile its ACA in the event 
that it is assessed ACA charges.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with 18 CFR 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's Rules 
and Regulations.

All such motions or protests must be filed as provided in Section 
154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by 
the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but 
will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any 
person wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene. 
Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available 
for public inspection in the public reference room.
