Sunshine Act Meeting; FCC To Hold Open Commission Meeting 
Thursday, September 12, 1996

    The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on 
the subjects listed below on Thursday, September 12, 1996, which is 
scheduled to commence at 9:30 a.m., in Room 856, at 1919 M Street, NW., 
Washington, DC.

Item No., Bureau, Subject

1--Office of General Counsel--Title: Implementation of Section 34(a)(1) 
of the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935, as added by Section 
103 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 (GC Docket No. 96-101). 
Summary: The Commission will consider rules to implement Section 103 of 
the Telecommunications Act of 1996.
2--Office of Engineering and Technology--Title: Amendment of Parts 2, 
25 and 90 of the Commission's Rules to Allocate the 13.75-14.0 GHz Band 
to the Fixed-Satellite Service (ET Docket No. 96-20, RM-8638). Summary: 
The Commission will consider the allocation of the 13.75-14.0 GHz to 
the fixed-satellite (Earth-to-space) service.
