SUMMARY:
In compliance with Section 3506(c)(2)(A) of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) announces a proposed public information collection and seeks public comment on the provisions thereof. Comments are invited on: (a) Whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information shall have practical utility; (b) the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed information collection; (c) ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and (d) ways to minimize the burden of the information collection on respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology.

Needs and Uses: The information collection requirement ensures that only those Department of Defense employees assigned or need unescorted access to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), (Military, Civilians, Contractors, and other DoD affiliates) are granted unescorted access to the DLA Headquarters McNamara Complex.
Affected Public: Department of Defense employees assigned to DLA and contractors supporting DLA.
Annual Burden Hours: 3750.
Number of Respondents: 15000.
Responses per Respondent: 1.
Annual Responses: 15000.
Average Burden per Response: 15 minutes.
Frequency: On occasion.
Security Professionals (security administrators, security assistants) process the information ensuring personnel requesting and/or requiring unescorted access into the DLA Headquarters McNamara Complex (DLA HQC) are granted the proper access as required. Basic identifying information is collected from the individuals' which includes some biographical data. Additional information may also be collected (such as contact information, vehicle information, organization affiliation, etc.) but may not be required to grant an individual unescorted access to the DLA HQC.
