    Transwestern Pipeline Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC 
    Gas Tariff
    
    September 6, 1996.
        Take notice that on August 30, 1996 Transwestern Pipeline Company 
    (Transwestern) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, 
    Second Revised Volume No. 1, the following tariff sheets:
    
        Effective October 1, 1996:
    
    117th Revised Sheet No. 5
    22nd Revised Sheet No. 5A
    14th Revised Sheet No. 5A.02
    14th Revised Sheet No. 5A.03
    19th Revised Sheet No. 5B
    
        Transwestern states that the referenced tariff sheets are being 
    filed to adjust Transwestern's Annual Charge Adjustment (ACA) pursuant 
    to Section 23 of the General Terms and Conditions of Transwestern's 
    FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1.
        Transwestern states that copies of the filing were served on its 
    gas utility customers, interested state commissions, and all parties to 
    this proceeding.
        Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
    file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
    Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C., 20426, 
    in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of 
    Practice and Procedure. All such motions or protests must be filed as 
    provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests 
    will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate 
    action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to 
    the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion 
    to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the

    Commission and are available for public inspection.
