Special Emphasis Panel In Geosciences; Notice of Meeting
In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (Public Law
92-463, as amended), the National Science Foundation announces the
following meeting.
Name: Special Emphasis Panel in Geosciences (1756).
Date: October 4 & 5, 1995.
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.
Place: IRIS Data Management Center, 1408 NE 45th Street, Seattle
WA 98105-4505.
Type of Meeting: Closed.
Contact Person: Dr. Daniel F. Weill, Program Director,
Instrumentation & Facilities Program, Division of Earth Sciences,
Room 785, National Science Foundation, Arlington, VA, (703) 306-
1558.
Purpose of Meeting: To provide advice and recommendations
concerning the proposal submitted to NSF by the Incorporated
Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS).
Agenda: To review and evaluate the IRIS proposal.
Reason for Closing: The proposal being reviewed includes
information of a proprietary or confidential nature, including
technical information; financial data, such as salaries; and
personal information concerning individuals associated with the
proposal. These matters are exempt under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c) (4) and
(6) of the Government in the Sunshine Act.
