PG&E Energy Services, Energy Trading Corporation; PG&E Energy
Services Corporation; Notice of Filing
September 10, 1998.
Take notice that on September 4, 1998, PG&E Energy Services, Energy
Trading Corporation and PG&E Energy Services Corporation submitted an
application pursuant to Section 203 of the Federal Power Act for
authority to merge PG&E Energy Services, Energy Trading Corporation
into PG&E Energy Services Corporation and to transfer any
jurisdictional facilities. The proposed transaction is described more
fully in the application, which is on file with the Commission and open
to public inspection.
The application states that at the conclusion of the merger, PG&E
Energy Services, Energy Trading Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary
of PG&E Energy Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of PG&E Energy
Services Corporation would cease to exist. Thereafter, PG&E Energy
Services Corporation would perform the power marketing functions
currently performed by PG&E Energy Services, Energy Trading
Corporation. The application declares that the proposed transaction
will not affect jurisdictional facilities, rates or services.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest such filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC 20426, in
accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice
and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 385.214). All such motions and
protests should be filed on or before October 9, 1998. Protests will be
considered by the Commission to determine the appropriate action to be
taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the
proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to
intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and
are available for public inspection.
