Private Task Force (PPTF); Meeting

AGENCY: Department of the Army, DOD.

ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: Pursuant to Public Law 92-463, notice is hereby given of the 
next meeting of the Armament Retooling and Manufacturing Support (ARMS) 
Public/Private Task Force (PPTF). The PPTF is chartered to develop new 
and innovative methods to maintain the government-owned, contractor-
operated ammunition industrial base and retain critical skills for a 
national emergency. This meeting will update attendees on the status of 
ongoing actions with decisions being made to close out or continue 
these actions. Topics for this meeting include ARMS Program Update, 
Future Funding, Program Continuance, and Production Base Assessment. 
This meeting is open to the public.
    Date of Meeting: October 16, 1997.
    Place: Washington Hilton Hotel, 1919 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 
Washington, DC 20009.
    Time: 8 am-5 pm.
