Sumas International Pipeline, Inc.; Notice of Proposed Changes in 
FERC Gas Tariff

September 11, 1997.
    Take notice that on August 29, 1997, Sumas International Pipeline 
Inc. (Sumas) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, 
Original Volume No. 2, the following tariff sheets, to become effective 
October 1, 1997:

Substitute Seventh Revised Sheet No. 4

    Sumas states that the purpose of this filling is to update Sumas' 
tariff to reflect the Annual Charge Adjustment (ACA) factor to be 
effective for the twelve-month period beginning October 1, 1997. Sumas 
states that its new ACA factor will be 0.22 cents per Dth, and increase 
of 0.02 cents per Dth from its current ACA factor.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed as 
provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests 
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate 
action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to 
the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission 
and are available for pubic inspection in the Public Reference Room.
