    Granite State Gas Transmission, Inc.; Notice of Change in Annual 
    Charge Adjustment
    
    September 12, 1996.
        Take notice that on September 9, 1996, Granite State Transmission, 
    Inc., (Granite State) tendered for filing to become part of its FERC 
    Gas Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, the revised tariff sheets 
    listed below containing changes in rates for effective on October 1, 
    1996:
    
    Seventh Revised Sheet No. 21
    Eighth Revised Sheet No. 22
    Seventh Revised Sheet No. 23
    
        According to Granite State, the revised tariff sheets are submitted 
    to reflect the Annual Charge Adjustment authorized for the 1997 fiscal 
    year in its transportation rate schedules.
        Granite State further states that copies of its filing have been 
    mailed to its customers and the regulatory commissions of the States of 
    Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
        Any person desiring to be heard or protest said filing should file 
    a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory 
    Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in 
    accordance with Sections 385.211 and 385.214 of the Commission's Rules 
    of Practice and Procedure. All such motions or protests must be filed 
    as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
    Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
    appropriate action to be taken but, will not serve to make protestants 
    parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must 
    file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
    Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
    Reference Room.
