        In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-
    463, as amended), the National Science Foundation announces the 
    following meeting.
    
        Name: Advisory Panel for Physiology and Behavior.
        Date and Time: October 12-14, 1994, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
        Place: National Science Foundation, 4201 Wilson Boulevard, 
    Arlington, VA 22203, Room 360.
        Type of Meeting: Part-Open.
        Contact Person: Dr. David Vleck, Program Director, Ecological 
    and Evolutionary Physiology, National Science Foundation, 4201

        Minutes: May be obtained from the contact person listed above.
        Purpose of Meeting: To provide advice and recommendation 
    concerning proposals submitted to the NSF for financial support.
        Agenda: Closed Session--October 12 and 14, 1994, 8:30 a.m. to 5 
    p.m., and October 13, 1994, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To review and 
    evaluate proposals submitted to Ecological and Evolutionary 
    Physiology as part of the selection process for awards.
        Open Session--October 13, 1994, 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for a 
    discussion with Mary E. Clutter, Assistant Director of BIO, and Dr. 
    Bruce L. Umminger, Division Director, Integrative Biology and 
    Neuroscience on research trends and opportunities in Ecological and 
    Evolutionary Physiology.
        Reason for Closing: The proposals being reviewed include 
    information of a proprietary or confidential nature, including 
    technical information; financial data, such as salaries; and 
    personal information concerning individuals associated with the 
    proposals. These matters are exempt under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c), (4) and 
    (6) of the Government in the Sunshine Act.
