    ACTION: Notice of meeting.

    SUMMARY: In accordance with Section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory 
    Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-463), announcement is made of the following 
    committee meeting:
        Name of Committee: Coastal Engineering Research Board (CERB).
        Dates of Meeting: October 26-27, 1999.
        Place: Dauphin Island Sea Lab, Dauphin Island, Alabama.
        Time: 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
    
    FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Inquiries and notice of intent to 
    attend the meeting may be addressed to Colonel Robin R. Cababa, 
    Executive Secretary, Coastal Engineering Research Board, U.S. Army 
    Engineer Research and Development Center, Waterways Experiment Station, 
    3909 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, Mississippi 39180-6199.
    
    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Proposed Agenda: On October 26, 1999, the 
    members of the Board will be briefed on the Regional Sediment 
    Management Demonstration conducted by the Mobile District and tour the 
    demonstration site along the coasts of Alabama and the Florida 
    Panhandle.
        On Wednesday morning, October 27, 1999, the Board will travel to 
    the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and hear discussions concerning the 
    demonstration, its budget, monitoring, legal constraints, and guidance. 
    Following the meeting the Board will hold an Executive Session.
        This meeting is open to the public, but since seating is limited, 
    advance notice of intent to attend, although not required, is requested 
    in order to assure adequate arrangements for those wishing to attend.
