Notice of Commission Determination Not To Review an Initial
Determination Terminating the Investigation on the Basis of a
Settlement Agreement
AGENCY: U.S. International Trade Commission.
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade
Commission has determined not to review the presiding administrative
law judge's (ALJ's) initial determination (ID) in the above-captioned
investigation terminating the investigation on the basis of a
settlement agreement.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On December 2, 1994, Redmond Products, Inc.
filed a complaint with the Commission alleging a violation of section
337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation, the sale for
importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of
health and beauty aids bearing marks that infringe Redmond's registered
and common law trademarks.
The Commission instituted an investigation of the complaint, and
published a notice of investigation in the Federal Register on January
19, 1995. 60 FR 3,875 (1995). The notice named Belvedere International,
Inc. of Ontario, Canada as respondent.
On July 13, 1995, complainant and respondent filed a joint motion
to terminate the investigation on the basis of a settlement agreement.
On August 25, 1995, the ALJ granted the joint motion and issued an ID
(Order No. 17) terminating the investigation on the basis of a
settlement agreement. No petitions for review were received.
This action is taken under the authority of section 337 of the
Tariff Act of 1930, 19 U.S.C. 1337, and Commission rule 210.42, 19 CFR
210.42.
Copies of the ALJ's ID, and all other nonconfidential documents
filed in connection with this investigation, are or will be available
for inspection during official business hours (8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.)
in the Office of the Secretary, U.S. International Trade Commission,
