South Georgia Natural Gas Company; Notice of Proposed Changes to
FERC Gas Tariff
August 27, 1996.
Take notice that on August 22, 1996, South Georgia Natural Gas
Company (South Georgia) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas
Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1, the following tariff sheets to
become effective as shown:

South Georgia states that the purpose of this filing is to
implement Tariff revisions proposed by South Georgia in its Stipulation
and agreement filed on June 10, 1996, in Docket Nos. RP96-64-000, et
al., and approved by the Commission in its order issued on July 18,
1996. Under the Stipulation and Agreement, which addresses South
Georgia's recovery to its costs under Financial Accounting Standards
No. 106 (SFAS 106), South Georgia is required to implement these
revisions retroactively to January 1, 1996.
Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 88 First Street, N.E.,
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Rule 211 of the Commission's
Rules of Practice and Procedures (18 CFR Section 385.211). All such
protests must be filed as provided in Section 154.210 of the
Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission
in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve
to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing
are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection
in the Public Reference Room.
