Gas Transport, Inc.; Notice of Compliance Filing

August 27, 1997.
    Take notice that on August 25, 1997, Gas Transport, Inc. (GTI) 
tendered for filing to become part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Second 
Revised Volume No. 1, the following revised tariff sheets:

Effective November 1, 1997

Sub. Fourth Revised Sheet No. 162
Sub. Third Revised Sheet No. 162A

    GTI states that these tariff sheets are being filed to comply with 
the letter order issued by the Commission on August 19, 1997.
    GTI states that copies of this filing were served upon its 
jurisdictional customers and the Regulatory Commissions of the states 
of Ohio and West Virginia.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C., 20426, in accordance with Rule 211 of the 
Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211). All such 
protests must be filed in accordance with Section 154.210 of the 
Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission 
in determining the appropriate action to be taken but will not serve to 
make protestants parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are 
on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection.
