    Description of Relief Sought: The proposed exemption, if granted, would permit relief from the definitions of part Start Printed Page 46775107 in order to conduct research on the viability of distributed electric propulsion systems for full scale electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft control by using a sub-scale unmanned aircraft system, weighing 195 pounds, to develop the control schemes that can be used for scaling purposes. Flight operations would take place solely at a remote designated flight test area on University of Florida property.
