THRIFT DEPOSITOR PROTECTION OVERSIGHT BOARD
Affordable Housing Advisory Board Meeting
AGENCY: Thrift Depositor Protection Oversight Board.
ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: In accordance with section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory
Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. App., announcement is hereby published for a
meeting of the Affordable Housing Advisory Board. The meeting is open
to the public.
DATES: The Affordable Housing Advisory Board will hold its meeting on
September 20, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4
p.m.
ADDRESSES: The meeting will be held at the Federal Deposit Insurance
Corporation, 500 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Illinois.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Section 14(b) of the Resolution Trust
Corporation Completion Act, Public Law No. 103-204, established the
Affordable Housing Advisory Board to advise the Thrift Depositor
Protection Oversight Board (Oversight Board) and the Board of Directors
of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on policies and
programs related to the provision of affordable housing. The Board
consists of the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or
delegate; the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the FDIC, or
delegate; the Chairperson of the Oversight Board, or delegate; four
persons appointed by the Secretary of HUD who represent the interests
of individuals and organizations involved in using the affordable
housing programs, and two former members of the National Housing
Advisory Board. The Board's charter was issued March 9, 1994.
Agendas
A detailed agenda will be available at the meeting. Topics to be
addressed include: the merger of the RTC and FDIC affordable housing
programs, financing strategies and resources, selection of affordable
housing assets, expansion of the Housing Opportunity Hotline and
participation of community and nonprofit organizations in the
affordable housing program. The Board's chair or its Designated Federal
Officer may authorize a member or members of the public to address the
Board during the public forum portion of the meeting. After all reports
are given and comments are received from members of the public in
attendance, the Board will develop its own recommendations.
Statements
Interested persons may submit, in writing, data, information or
views on the issues pending before the Affordable Housing Advisory
Board prior to or at the September 20 meeting. Seating is available on
a first-come first-served basis for each session of the meeting.
