Under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-463, 86 Stat.
770), notice is hereby given of the following meeting:
Name: Health and Environmental Research Advisory Committee
(HERAC).
Date and Time: November 7, 1994--9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; November
8, 1994--9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, One Cyclotron Road, Berkeley,

Purpose of the Committee: To provide advice on a continuing
basis to the Director of Energy Research of the Department of Energy
(DOE), on the many complex scientific and technical issues that
arise in the development and implementation of the Health and
Environmental Research (HER) program.

Public Comment (10 minute rule).
Public Participation: The meeting is open to the public. Written
statements may be filed with the Committee either before or after the
meeting. Members of the public who wish to make oral statements
pertaining to agenda items should contact Murray Schulman at the
address or telephone number listed above. Requests to make oral
statements must be received 5 days prior to the meeting; reasonable
provision will be made to include the statement in the agenda. The
Chairperson of the Committee is empowered to conduct the meeting in a
fashion that will facilitate the orderly conduct of business.
Transcripts: The transcript of the meeting will be available for
public review and copying within 30 days at the Freedom of Information
Public Reading Room, IE-190, Forrestal Building, 1000 Independence
Avenue, SW., Washington, DC, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday, except Federal holidays.
