Western Pacific Fishery Management Council; Meeting

AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: A subcommittee of the Western Pacific Fishery Management 
Council's (Council) Scientific and Statistical Committee will hold a 
meeting on September 19, 1994, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., in the 
conference room of the NMFS Honolulu Laboratory, 2570 Dole Street, 
Honolulu, HI.
    The purpose of the meeting is to review and refine the Council's 
draft Cultural, Social and Economic Research Plan for presentation to 
the Council at its next meeting. The subcommittee will also develop 
definitions of recreational, commercial and subsistence fishing/
fishermen that are useful for the Western Pacific Region.
