Announcement of Webhearing.
SUMMARY:
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission) and the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) that the Oregon Advisory Committee (Committee) to the Commission will hold a briefing via web conference from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (PDT) on Friday, September 25, 2020. The purpose of the meeting is to hear testimony from Laura Appleman, Associate Dean of Faculty and Van Winkle Melton Professor of Law at Willamette University (https://willamette.edu/law/faculty/profiles/appleman/index.html) regarding the federal and state legislative history of bail practices.
