SUMMARY:
The Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board (NFAB) will hold a public meeting according to the details shown below. The committee is authorized under the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act of 1974, the National Forest Management Act of 1976, the Federal Public Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, and operates in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). The purpose of the committee is to provide advice and recommendations on a broad range of forest issues such as forest plan revisions or amendments, forest health including fire, insect and disease, travel management, forest monitoring and evaluation, recreation fees, and site specific projects having forest-wide implications. The meeting will be held on September 21, 2022, 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m., Mountain Daylight Time.

The meeting agenda will include:
1. Annual Ethics Training;
2. Black Hills National Forest Overview;
3. Getting to know your BHNF Leadership; and
4. Elect Chair/Vice Chair.
The meeting is open to the public. The agenda will include time for people to make oral statements of three minutes or less. Individuals wishing to make an oral statement should make a request in writing by at least three days before the meeting to be scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who would like to bring related matters to the attention of the committee may file written statements with the committee staff before or after the meeting. Written comments and requests for time for oral comments must be sent to Scott Jacobson, NFAB Committee Coordinator, Mystic Ranger District Office, 8221 Mount Rushmore Road, Rapid City, South Dakota 57702; or by email to scott.j.jacobson@usda.gov.
