    a. Application Type: Amendment of License to Increase its Authorized Generating Capacity.

    b. Project No: 2720-045.

    c. Date Filed: October 10, 2006.

    d. Applicant: City of Norway.

    e. Name of Project: Sturgeon Falls Hydroelectric Project.

    f. Location: The project is located on the Menominee River in Dickenson County in Michigan and Marinette County in Wisconsin.

    g. Filed Pursuant to: Federal Power Act, 16 U.S.C. 791a-825r.

    k. Description of Request: The licensee proposes to replace and upgrade the project's existing turbine units and re-rate generator units. The proposed upgrade would restore its largest generating unit which suffered severe damage in December 2005; increase the plant's maximum hydraulic capacity from 3,448 cfs to 3,890 cfs, or approximately 13%; and improve the project's turbine's generating capacity from 5,330 kW to 6,404 kW, or about 20%.
