The US blueberry industry is growing at a rapid rate, many acres of blueberries have been planted that are not in full production yet and many more are being planned to go in the ground in the near future. The volume of blueberries produced in the US is going to continue to increase for the foreseeable future and we need to make sure these extra blueberries will be consumed. I fully support the increase in assessments from $12/ton to $18/ton as i see the need to increase the demand for blueberries as the supply increases through research and promotions.
