Unit 118

Dear Administrator DeHaven:
I am writing in support of the proposal to permit Peruvian citrus to enter the United States under the conditions established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
In addition to being consistent with a U.S. trade policy based on sound science, the proposed change will provide a new source of citrus, thus bringing several important benefits to the United States.
Most immediately it will provide greater access to affordable, quality citrus products, contributing to our ability to meet the growing demand on the part of U.S. consumers for fresh citrus on a year-round basis.
In addition, it will provide jobs and generate revenue for packers, shippers, truckers, warehouses, supermarkets and other entities involved in the transport, storage, and sale of these products.
Finally, I would encourage publication of the final rule as expeditiously as possible in order to afford us all the opportunity to benefit from the upcoming shipping season.
Sincerely,
Luke G Sears
President
